The Usha Martin University Ranchi provides full-time and part-time Doctoral programs for various fields of study including but not limited to management, computer applications, pharmaceutical science, and applied psychology. However, admission is subject to candidates having a master degree in relevant field with minimum 55% marks. We choose people who will pass the written test and interview.
The PhD admission process is a composed process involving: filling the application form and uploading the mandatory documents, followed by the payment of the application fees, appearing for a written entrance test of 100 objective type questions measuring your research aptitude, logical reasoning, and the subject knowledge, a merit list is prepared based on your performance in the written test and the interview that will follow for the shortlisted candidates.

1. Look through the university website or talk to the admissions office in order to find out the PhD programs provided together with the conditions of eligibility, deadlines, and so on.
2. Find out which PhD program and specialty you are interested in and also ensure that you fulfill the eligibility requirement such as having master’s degree in the relevant department or faculty.
3. Collect all application documents such as a personal statement, academic records, reference letters, resume/CV, (sample of writing skills if needed), and English proficiency test scores (if needed).
4. Complete Ph.D. application form whether online or offline and don't forget to attach supporting documents like transcripts (if required) and application fees (if applicable) before the deadline.
5. The applications will be received and reviewed by the relevant department and the timetable will be released with the dates for entrance test and interview round.
6. After taking the admission test and interview, if you are fortunate to receive a provisional admission offer letter from the university, you will be required to make a 25% non-refundable deposit.
7. Secure the placement through the payment of the admission/ tuition fees as well as completing any other stipulated formal processes such as those outlined in the offer letter.
8. Attend registration for the research scholar/JRF and pay the requisite fees after which you need to complete all of your PhD program coursework/research work according to the timetable and guidelines given by the university.
