The University of Allahabad, also known as the University of Allahabad, is a public university in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh offering PhD programs in sciences, commerce and management, humanities and social sciences, law, and education. The candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university with a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with not less than 55% marks. Apart from that candidates have to pass the university entrance examination and then face an interview.
The PhD entrance test is held every year in June-July. The best known format has two papers – one sample non-subject-specific, and another sample subject-specific. 1. Check Notification
The University bears an advertisement on the website or in newspapers for PhD scholarly programmes grants. Be mindful of what is going on and the check whether you meet the requirements.
2. Choose Research Area
The list of research areas is there then you may choose your specific area of research where you would like to carry out your PhD research. Get in touch with faculty so that you are aware of their research interests and which lab they direct.
3. Online Application Form

1. Candidates, for many disciplines, have to face the heat of University of Allahabad Entrance Test (UET) which is conducted by the university. Some subjects may instead opt for the UGC NET/JRF exams or other equivalent abbreviations.
2. Using the examples of Law, Education, the Physical Education, the Visual Arts the university carries out a separate entrance examination called Allahabad University Admission Test (AUAT) Contestants may be completing the test in the discipline of their choice.
3. Those who are NET (JRF/LS) and NET/SET/SLET qualifiers and who have completed their MSc in some of the subjects can directly apply for PhD subject to other eligibility criteria requirements.
4. International candidates should apply through the International Education Department according to the number of seats for which they are eligible. It is possible that they would need to undertake such examinations as English proficiency tests, which are not compulsory.
