The University of Allahabad, also known as the University of Allahabad, is a public university in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh offering PhD programs in sciences, commerce and management, humanities and social sciences, law, and education. The candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university with a postgraduate degree in the relevant field with not less than 55% marks. Apart from that candidates have to pass the university entrance examination and then face an interview.

1. Check Notification
The University bears an advertisement on the website or in newspapers for PhD scholarly programmes grants. Be mindful of what is going on and the check whether you meet the requirements.
2. Choose Research Area

1. Candidates, for many disciplines, have to face the heat of University of Allahabad Entrance Test (UET) which is conducted by the university. Some subjects may instead opt for the UGC NET/JRF exams or other equivalent abbreviations.

4. International candidates should apply through the International Education Department according to the number of seats for which they are eligible. It is possible that they would need to undertake such examinations as English proficiency tests, which are not compulsory.
