The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi conducts PhD programs in medical and allied sciences. The minimum requirement necessary for admission to a PhD program is a master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 55% overall marks or its equivalent. The selection process generally requires the candidates to take an entrance examination which is conducted by the AIIMS and then there is the interview round.

1. Make sure you are aware of the eligibility criterion such as educational qualifications, percentages and entrance exams from the AIIMS website to help you know you meet the requirements for the program.

1. An institute of eminence is required to have a PhD program branch and admission to this program branch can only be done through the National Testing Agency/ University Grants Commission/State Level Eligibility Test (SLET).
2. The fellows who have confirmed any of national level examination in the Junior research programs like CSIR, UGC, ICMR, DST or equivalent are candidates eligible to apply for AIIMS PhD programs.
