Is RVCE Bangalore better than IIT Kanpur for BTech CSE?

➔ IIT Kanpur is one of the premier Institutes in India which provides quality education in engineering courses world over. The faculty is highly qualified, and the majority of the professors have a PhD degree. Research opportunities are immense.
➔ RVCE also is known to have good academics, particularly in terms of practical knowledge but the course may not be as rigorous or as advanced as IIT Kanpur at least in the later semesters. The faculty members might have comparatively lesser research experience than the postgraduate students.

➔ IIT Kanpur is known for its excellent placement where students are offered jobs from Microsoft, Google, Apple and Samsung and many more companies offering a package of Rs 20-30 lakhs per annum. A very high percentage of students pass out get placements, more than 90% students get placements.
➔ RVCE has pretty good placements too as many big names in the IT and consulting fields visit here. On average, it falls around Rs 6-12 lakhs per annum with the average and highest packages lesser than IIT Kanpur at around Rs 6-12 lakhs per annum on average.

➔ There is a fully residential campus with good hostels, sports, complex, gym and events etc that we get to learn in the campus.
➔ The facilities in RVCE are quite good but the students need to search for a house on rent on their own. Some of the activities include events and completion conducted frequently.

➔ IIT Kanpur has highly subsidized fees of Rs 1-2 lakhs for entire program thanks to governmental funding.
➔ Regarding the fees for program, RVCE is around Rs 6 – 8 lakhs.

➔ IIT brand has more value and offers more foreign education opportunities to join the higher study. This is evident through alumni network which has also been found to be very strong.
➔ It also has reasonably good alumni network because of being a top private college, but of course IIT tag provide better opportunities.
