Osmania University provides regular and distance-mode Ph.D. programs offered in science, humanities, social sciences, engineering, law, and business administration. For the admission to the PhD program the candidates must have passed their postgraduation with minimum 55% of marks in aggregate. The admission process of the PhD includes an entrance exam that is set and taken at Osmania University and an interview. Regarding the entrance test, the university sends out communiqués to all national level daily and on its website. For entry into the programme, the interested candidates must complete the online application form within the given time. The entrance test is a 100 item multiple choice questions, which seek to assess the candidate’s research ability, reasoning and expertise in the specific subject.
Those who qualify the written test are called for an interview with the Departmental Research Committee in the University. During the interview, one is assessed based on his or her research interests, subject knowledge, communication, and ability to do research. Overall rank is awarded based on the sum of scores each candidate obtains in the written test and interview. It is important for the respective candidates to pay the fees prescribed as mentioned in the admission process and they must fill up the admission formalities before the stipulated time. The length of study for the full-time PhD programme is a minimum of three years and that of the part-time programme is four years from admission.

1. First, you will need to access their official website, which is satavahana.ac.in
2. The page will guide you by providing the link and the name of your online application portal which will be the tab called "Online Application Portal"
3. Please add your details which will be required for registration. Submid the email id and the phone number, as well. Make sure you fill out the form completely and accurately.
4. An OTP to your phone number and email id will be sent and you will need to enter it to verify your identity. Type in the OTP to do a 2-step verification and then go forward.
5. The login process will be done using the username and password that you just generated.
6. Choose the course you want and through the form online, you are supposed to fill in the details in such areas like your personal, academic and any other necessary ones.
7. Upload documents digitally like copies of photo, signature, relevant certificates, etc. specifying your name, father's name, date of birth, class and roll number in the specified manner.
8. Pay the fees via the online website. The payment gateway has options, such as credit card, debit card, and net banking.
9. Saitte et Submittez le formulaire d'application. Make print out of the form filled for keeping record later.
10. Know the progress of your submitted application from time to time with the use of your unique Application ID and password.
