Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University (PSTU) is a public State University in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This University was set up in the year 2008 with the primary objective of espousing the cause of Telugu language, Telugu literature, and Telugu culture.
PSTU teaches Undergraduate, Postgraduate, MPhil and PhD programmes in Telugu literature, Linguistics, translation, comparative literature etc. For most of the programmes The students are selected on the basis of the qualifying examination and an entrance examination and interview conducted by the PSTU. For the entrance in the PhD program, students have to clear SET/NET and then sit for the entrance test followed by an interview session.

1. Visit the university website or advertisement to find out about PhD entrance notifications. Make sure you know the admission requirements that apply to both foreign and domestic students. 3. Fill out the application form and provide the requested documents: mostly, you need to present copies of degrees, mark sheets, experience certificates if any, and research issue.
4. Submit the application, if there is any, and the whole application form along with the documents pay before the given deadline and submit it to the university. It may be either online or offline, consistent with the type of advertising.

1. A minimum of 55% mark (or equivalent grade) number in a master’s degree from related area. The two year long Masters degree programs for general candidates and the 5 year integrated M.Phil. program should be for the preferred LRS candidates.
2. The candidates must have qualified for the national or state level examination, which might be the UGC-NET test for the JRF or SLET/SET Exam. Fellow of M.Phil degree validate exempting UGC-NET/SLET/SET requirement.
3. During the application, PhD research proposal will be submitted by students. The main proposal must be stated explicitly, followed by the objectives, then a concise literature review, and lastly the methodology. From this case it is required to identify the problem and explain its meaning and relevance.
4. Those candidates who have completed M.Phil or other research level course, or those having teaching/research skills might become first in seat for the admission of PhD program.
5. Along with that,the vacancies may be reserved for aspirants from reserved class according to governments rule.
6. The candidates must complete entrance examinations and/or attend the interview organized by the University in order to have the right to register/admission for a PhD in the University.
