The Maharashtra State Secondary and Higher Secondary Board declared the SSC (Class 10) and HSC(Class 12) results on 25 May, 2024. In total, 14.5 lakh students from HSC and 17 lakh students (SSC) from the state of West Bengal participated in the examination.
The aggregate success rate in the HSC exams was 93.7%, a bit of an higher rate by 2% compared to last year. In SSC exams of this year, the pass percentage as a whole was about 92.5%, approximately as 2023 also. The statistics show that Konkan division has the highest pass percentage of 95.8% in higher secondary certificates and 94.2% in higher secondary school certificates.
Girls did better than boys in the matriculation exam with a pass percentage of 95.5% for girls versus 92.1% for boys. But in the high school board examination, the narrower margin occurred as girls outperformed boys at 93.7% compared to 91.5%. The student of Pune division, Rutuja Deshmukh achieved 98.2% marks in HSC exams, which was recorded as the highest mark. The highest scorer at the SSC exams, which were topped by Malusare Aditya from Aurangabad division, earned 99.4%.
