Madhav University has PhD courses in a diversity of areas that cover natural sciences, engineering, humanities, and social sciences among other disciplines. The minimum eligibility requirement to be admitted to a PhD program is to have a master's degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. The candidates are mandated to complete an application form with the supplemental documents that include transcripts, research proposal, letters of recommendation, among others as per the university's guidelines. The prospective students who came through the shortlisting process need to sit for an entrance exam that is administered by the university followed by an interview at a panel of experts.
The choice of candidates is made based on their results in the written test, interview, and past academic records. Candidates, after clearing the shortlisting, are temporarily sheltered and must complete a variety of necessary classes during the first semester, as required by their departments. A lot have to sit through the comprehensive exams prior to submission of their PhD dissertation under a particular supervisor's guidance. The progress is always under check through the presentations and evaluations. And in the end the last vivas- voces exam is undertaken where a candidate presents thier research work to examiners.

1. To begin with, do the eligibility check by the entrance exam scores, educational qualification etc. on the university webpage in order to ensure that you match all criteria.
2. The researcher will identify the research area and the potential supervisor that matches his or her interests from the faculty profiles on the university website.
3. Obtain admitted page from university admission requirements and submit the final draft which is the PhD application form. Attach necessary documents.
4. Fill in application form properly and pay application fee before due date. Fill duly filled application form along with application fee payment. Applications are announced twice a year.
5. This way, we are able to reduce the number of students applying for the course and the candidates who clear the entrance exam or the interview can be admitted into the course.

1. Candidates should have cleared the Madhav University Entrance Test (MUET) before we can consider them our students. This is a written test that tests the student's research skills and subject knowledge.
2. Finally, the subject to the MUET score will conduct a personal interview for convenience. The interview looks at to what extent are the research interests and aptitudes developed.
3. In addition to the national level standardized tests like CSIR-UGC NET or similar exam in the field of specialization, candidates also need to clear them. Some of the branches may also list GATE score as a criteria.
4. Next to all Management, Education, Arts, Commerce subjects that do not have any national level exams, other than MUET and interview applicants undergo special written test by the university in their subject area.
5. The candidate who has passed all the exams and has the research proposal approved by DRC within 6 months will be registered for PhD degree and topic approved.
6. An international student needs to get a TOEFL/IELTS score to meet a language competency requirement if he/she hasn't used English for his/her medium of education.
