IIT Indore provides doctoral education in the fields of engineering and applied sciences like computer science and engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, mathematics, physics, and chemistry. The competition for admission to the PhD program is intense and students are generally admitted through the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) examination at the national level. Given criteria should have master degree in engineering/technology or master degree by research in the relevant branch of science with minimum CGPA of 6.5 on 10 point scale or 60% marks. 1. Check the eligibility criteria
Candidate must possess master’s degree in any relevant field from a recognized university with minimum 60% Marks or CGPA of 6.5. There may also be relaxation in age criteria for the candidates belonging to the reserved category.
2. Check the admission notification
IIT Indore typically comes up with PhD admission announcements during the beginning of the year, specifically in the months of March and April and in newspapers and its official website. This is to confirm some dates and application processes.
3. Fill the application form
After this, students and candidates should complete the PhD application form before the deadline specified. In case, some annexes are required they should be placed as well.
4. Appear for written test/interview
Invitation for written test and/or interview will be given to candidates who applied for the jobs provided that they meet the standards set by the organization. It means that tests can also be conducted in the online mode depending upon the situation.
5. Check admission list
The list of admitted students is developed after the selection process is complete. Ensure that you have erased and move to complete other steps to join an institution.
