Ambedkar University, Agra commonly known as DBRAU provides PhD programs in different subjects under faculties of arts, science, commerce, education, law and management. In order to apply for the PhD program in DBRAU, the candidates must have a master’s degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade. Preferential treatment is given to candidates possessing MPhil degree or NET/SET/SLET/GATE teacher fellowship qualification.

The process of admission to the PhD program entails the administration of an entrance test by the university and an interview. Bachelors candidates passing the test and interview are made to produce a research proposal for provisional registration. They are assigned research supervisors and are expected to do course work in accordance with the stipulations of the Research Degree Committee.

Entrance Exams Required for Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University PhD Admission 2024

1. The Phd admission in the university is done through a university conducted test known as AUDRET (Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University Research Entrance Test). It is an examination that candidates have to sit for and sit an examination after applying.

2. Besides AUDRET, the university also considers the score cards of some other national level tests such as UGC NET, JRF, SLET, GATE etc for admission into PhD courses. Thus passing one of these exams can make a candidate qualify as the next step.

3. For some programs such as PhD in Law, the university may have a different exam for students with the general JAMB score. Students should endeavor to get the most updated admission notice for their subject/department.
