The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) runs online admission to different departments of engineering, science, management, social sciences, technology, research, humanities, and sustainable development, through its various institutes and centers. The online application process for CUSAT typically begins in April-May each year for programs starting in June-July.
The applicants have to first login to the university's e-portal by providing their details such as name, contact information, program of interest etc. Following the same, they submit their application online before the due date. Candidates need to upload scanned copies of documents like photograph, signature, certificates, mark sheets and make the application fee payment online.
Consequently in June the merit lists are published that would be based on an entrance exam like marks, reservations etc. Selected students can then confirm their admission by uploading any pending documents and paying the admission confirmation fee online within the stipulated date. The provisionerals (provisional allotment letters & contact details of assigned departments/centres) fo rthe new study session will be made available for the admitted students that they thereafter can contact the assigned departments/centers for the other admission formalities.

1. Go to the CUSAT admission portal: https://admissions.cusat.ac.in/
2. Tap on "Login" and submit the required details to create an account.
3. Log in using your registered username and password.
4. Mark the appropriate track of your choice and kindly provide all the academic and personal information.
5. Upload scanned copies of necessary documents like photograph, signature, copies of certificates/mark sheets etc. as per the specifications.
6. You are required to remit the online application fee using a debit/credit card or net-banking.
7. Carefully review all the details entered before submitting the online application.
8. Attach and print the two documents--- the application form and the fee receipt for future reference.
9. Track the application status using your login credentials to check if any additional documents are required.
10. After approval, submit any of the prescribed admission documents by the governing authority before the deadline.

- CUSAT provides on-line programmes such as B.Commerce, M.Commerce, and Law in the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Admission to these online programs is based on the candidate's academic scores in the qualifying examination. For undergraduates, the scores from 12th standard are taken into notice and for the post-graduates, academic scores from bachelor's are considered.
- There is no separate entrance test for admission. Candidates are required to fill up the online form and then submit the form with their grade sheets other details that may be required.
- Admission is offered based on merit, availability of seats, and eligibility criteria set for each program. Also it will be to carry the same ticket reservations, as per government rules.
- 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science as optional subjects
- Course average may be vary from 50% aggregates and above for different course.
- For PG courses, a relevant Bachelor's degree in the appropriate subject is required. There also is minimum aggregate score accounted.
- Relaxation in aggregate percentage up to 5% may be given to SC/ST candidates
- For the course like Ph.D. research work, the average is minimum 55% in the related field at post graduate level.
